This 493ci Mopar came in for check over. It had 13:1 compression, broken pistons and rings, and bent valves – quite a mess. We dropped the compression to 10.8:1 and sorted all the problems, resulting in a 550hp street engine, with 550ft-lbs of torque. This will make Adam’s ’72 Challenger haul ass!

Jamie’s ’71 Plymouth Satellite
Jamie’s 1971 Satellite came to us as a stock 383 car. Now it’s had the full Super Stock treatment and has been kitted out with a 493ci, 685hp motor, a new transmission, a Dana 60, Caltracs, a roll bar and a period Super Stock paint job. Shake ‘n’ Bake!
Strip to Street ’69 Dodge Coronet
Another steady project complete. Here’s the ex Woody’s Wedge drag car returned to the street as a 440 Six Pack A12 Super Bee clone.
Pete’s ’72 Plymouth Barracuda
Billadeau Speed rebuilt the 340 motor for Pete’s 1972 Cuda.
Jay’s ’70 Plymouth GTX
We rebuilt and refitted the 440 six barrel for Jay’s 1970 GTX, as well as completing various other jobs.
Adrian’s ’66 Dodge Charger
Adrian’s early Charger was fitted with a 493ci motor, a new transmission, a Sure Grip and a Turbo Action shifter was installed in the original centre console. The hood scoop was also fitted.
The Charger returned, now complete with a period NASCAR paint scheme, to be fitted with an MSD, torsion bars, Super Stock springs and new Flowmasters exhausts.
Adrian continued to develop the Charger over the years and in 2018 we fitted a Dana 60 and Caltracs.
The Charger was back over the 2022-2023 off season for a transmission freshen up and a general health check.
’71 Plymouth Barracuda Project
This was another Billadeau project car, a ’71 Cuda. Progress was steady but we got there in the end!
Scott’s Hemi Road Runner
Scott Billadeau’s new motor is a genuine Hemi Road Runner. We worked on the wiring and getting car up and running after it’s transmission had been reconditioned and the engine bay had been tidied up.
John’s 340 Dodge Dart
This 340 engine made 370hp and 392ft-lbs of torque, and was fitted in John’s ’70 Dodge Dart.
Andrew’s Jensen 440
One of the motors we worked on over winter was Andrew’s 440, which powers his Jensen convertible. It produced 390hp with 480ft-lbs of torque.
